Interesting Facts
- Parts of the system have been in place since the opening of the JFK station in 1927
- This project provides signal & communication fiber optic cables between JFK and Downtown Crossing, Andrew, Ashmont, North Quincy, and Southampton MBTA locations.
Execution
- The project has a completion date of 910 days from NTP with the bulk of the work being performed within 37 diversion weekends
- Schedule driven with limited access requiring precise coordination
- Current system must be kept operational during the upgrade
