Keeping the Lights On
With an upgrade to the Salem Power Plant, including over 300,000 feet of power and instrumentation cables, Fischbach & Moore can tackle even the largest of tasks.
Fischbach & Moore was responsible for a multitude of components:
- Provided temporary power, transformer assembly, electrical and instrumentation commissioning, cable pulling, and termination along with conduit installation for equipment to the facility. An underground duct bank was installed along with numerous transformers.
- The scope of electrical work included the installation of 341,000 feet of power and instrumentation cable, along with point-to-point testing. The electrical testing of 15kV to 480V switchgear was performed and a generator step-up was assembled XFMR to 115kV switchgear.
- Supplied over 100 electricians, along with a vast majority of equipment and materials, working seven days a week through numerous shifts to meet owner deadlines.
With Fischbach & Moore’s upgrades, we can ensure the continued delivery of necessary power in Salem and wherever else a client may need it.
