Driving Sustainable Solar Energy Solutions
Fischbach & Moore spearheaded the installation of the Hingham Municipal Light Plant Solar Array.
The project encompassed the installation of carport foundations, steel erection, stormwater system SWPP plan, excavation, backfill, and surface restoration, complemented by comprehensive electrical work.
Fischbach & Moore was responsible for a multitude of components:
- Deployment of a 97 kW roof-mounted solar array and a 138 kW carport-mounted solar array, bolstering renewable energy generation
- Integration of ten dual station EV chargers, fostering electric vehicle adoption and sustainability
- Upgrades to incoming power systems and installation of new switchgear to accommodate increased solar power and EV charging demands
- Implementation of new data acquisition, customer metering, and monitoring systems, ensuring efficient energy management
- Adoption of state-of-the-art rapid shutdown systems for enhanced safety of roof-mounted modules
- Provision of surface-mounted LED lighting for carports, optimizing nighttime safety
