Getting You Where You Need to Go
Parcel 12 was the first project in over 40 years to cap the Mass Pike, and aims to help repair the urban fabric of the city of Boston. The work from Fischbach & Moore aims to assist and ensure the well-being of both commuters and developers alike.
Fischbach & Moore was responsible for a multitude of components:
- Three tunnels were built, one for eastbound, one for westbound, and the third for the commuter rail. Work was conducted alongside the MBTA and Massachusetts DOT to integrate all necessary components, including tunnel lighting, cameras, fire alarms, lighting controls, and the connections that link all these controls to the computers at DOT and MBTA headquarters by antenna. The Mass DOT antenna is linked with emergency responders and can transmit information to any necessary party.
- Maintained a diverse workforce to support contract requirements and conform to site/schedule needs. Our foremen have experience working in road closures and adapting to restrictions and short work timeframes.
- Included medium and low voltage cable pulling and terminations, fiber optic cable pulls and terminations, antenna and BDA cable pulls and terminations, fire alarm cable pulls and terminations, PLC and motor control work cable pulls and terminations, SCADA wiring and terminations, lighting control work, pole light installation, and underground work including manhole entry.
With our adaptive workforce, even large-scale projects can be handled smoothly and safely.
