Storm Response to Hurricane Helene

Project Details

Here When Communities Need Us Most

When Hurricane Helene made landfall in September 2024 as a Category 4 storm, it left millions without power and caused severe damage across multiple states. Fischbach & Moore’s Utility Division quickly mobilized as part of a Northeast Response Team. In partnership with MTV Solutions, crews were deployed to Indiana and North Carolina for a 17-day emergency restoration effort.

Our team took on essential responsibilities during this emergency response, such as:

  • Deploying 29 skilled employees with a fleet of 11 bucket trucks, 3 digger trucks, and 1 track drive digger derrick
  • Restoring power for utility clients AES Indiana and Duke Energy Corporation
  • Working 16-hour days for 17 consecutive days across flood-damaged and storm-ravaged terrain
  • Traveling more than 4,000 miles to serve impacted regions
  • Maintaining a zero-incident safety record while repairing and installing critical utility infrastructure

At Fischbach and Moore, we are committed to responding quickly and delivering reliable restoration when communities need it most.
